I just noticed today when I published an article that the comments section has mysteriously vanished. It appears to effect the entire site (i.e. blog, gleaning, and article pages). I think something must have recently changed, because I have notification emails of new comments that came in yesterday (though when I click the comment link, there is no comment block on the page. for instance https://geo.coop/comment/1327#comment-1327 )
Edit: So, strangely, comments are visible when I am not signed-in to the site, but are not visible when I am signed in. Jim thinks this is likely something to do with permissions, though I haven't changed those at all. If fixing this is not something that falls under our $500/yr agreement, please send us an estimate for fixing this.

OK wow this was a weird one.
This is traced to Comment Notify module, they have some JavaScript imprecisely targeting parent elements that (unintentionally, with our themes) hides the entire comments section.
@joshua_davis Should we disable Comment Notify until that can be fixed or figure out another fix?
Also note that https://geo.coop/comment/1327#comment-1327 comment gives access denied to visitors and accounts with regular access because the comment there is not approved yet.
Yes, please do whatever is needed so that I can approve new comments and see the ones already approved.
And I'm aware that the link is to an unapproved comment. The problem is that I can't even see the unapproved comment, nor do anything with it...if that makes sense.
@joshua_davis The ability to subscribe to comments has been removed from all content types at https://geo.coop/admin/config/people/comment_notify
The comment notify feature had not been heavily used, with 18 entries in the comment_notify table, so i think the urgent part of this is resolved.
Filed an issue with comment notify and with luck we'll have a solution that works for us and all users of the module.
Thanks. It's working fine now. And I think you're correct that the
subscribe to comments function isn't much used.
