The ask came in this post on what Ghost, surely a marquee LibreSaas company, learned in 5 years: https://blog.ghost.org/5/

https://ghostjournalism.typeform.com/to/KJ92XR

So the offer has probably closed a while ago. But in any case, we should still answer the question:

Is "appearance of"/actual conflict of interest a concern if we use affiliate links or in any other way get a kickback from LibreSaaS companies featured on LibreSaas.org?

We should have a policy that it doesn't affect how we feature. But there's no reason for anyone to believe that until we have a transparent policy about how we determine where things are featured. Alphabetical? Random (and changing)? Ranked into tiers by a few quality considerations (fully released code as free software, coop or nonprofit, stable or with a track record— and then alphabetical or random?) That should be another issue and we can change it, but there should be a stated policy before having any affiliate links.

Also, in the main heading and description, plain links should be use, and if we opt-in to an affiliate program we should just state that it's an opportunity for people to support LibreSaas/PWGD and provide the affiliate link there.

Any other concerns?
