We need to come up with a slogan we're happy with.

Todd's suggestion:

  • Empowering the web

  • Web tech for people power

Colleague's Slogans

  • Design Action: Graphic Design + Visual Communications For Progressive, Non-Profit, & Social Change Organizations.
  • Sassafrass: Crafting innovative, usable technology for social change.
  • Radical Designs: We are a web development co-operative focused exclusively on the needs of non-profit and grassroots social change organizations.
  • DevCollaborative: We build websites for nonprofits with care and attention to accessibility and sustainability of content, design, and code.
  • Aten: Work that matters.
  • Thinkshout: Engage and Inspire. We use technology and strategy to elevate organizations creating positive change in the world.
  • Autonomic: We build technologies and infrastructure to empower users to make a positive impact on the world.
  • Advomatic: We build the future.

"Building the open web" was what i was actually going to fall back on absent coming up with something else, very close to one of @cedewey's. (Pretty sure it's the title of a blog post by Dries Buytaert also but hey it's not like Acquia is going to use it.)

Note this isn't necessarily an official slogan... just the biggest most central and immediate words on our new web site :-P

We uh, need an intro paragraph too.

"Building the open web" was what i was actually going to fall back on absent coming up with something else, very close to one of @cedewey's. (Pretty sure it's the title of a blog post by Dries Buytaert also but hey it's not like Acquia is going to use it.) I also still think our differentiator as a company is our combining of the awesome forces of free/libre software and cooperatives.

Ripping off the phrase being used on Drutopia, "Building libre software cooperatively."

None of these are great at explaining to potential clients what we actually offer, but we can address that in the intro paragraph.

or expanding the open web, defending the open web. I really do like using that because it ties back to Agaric and the open web is a big piece to what we're doing.
