Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
This could also be used for our metadata description. It should be potential client focused.
Current Version
We are Agaric, a web development collective eager to understand where you want to go with your web presence and to apply our knowledge and skills to get you there.
Todd's Version
Agaric is a web development company that seeks to harness the power of a hypha-like network of knowledge and technology to help our clients deliver genuine and meaningful online experiences that transform societies.
Find out how Agaric can help you gain power over your online technology.
Clayton's Version
We are Agaric, a worker-owner cooperative building websites and online tools using libre software that respects your freedom. We also provide training and consulting to strengthen the open web and help organizations get the most from their technology.
David's Version.
We do cool stuff. 😎
Micky's version.
We are Agaric, a worker-owned cooperative. We build websites and online tools using free/libre software that also respects your freedoms. We provide training and consultation to strengthen the collaborative web and help organizations get the most from their technology.
Assigning to @mlncn as he's been most vocal about this text, but @FreeScholar @gnuget @dinarcon @wolcen please speak up if you have thoughts! See my proposed version in the description.
Here's a different version that would have continuity with "Building the open web" as our slogan
When the web is open, we can connect directly with one another, using libre software we can trust. We build websites and other tools to help people use the open web to do their best work. Organized as a worker-owner cooperative, we value people's needs over profit and cooperation over competition.

What about this mix between the @cedewey and @tlinkner :
@gnuget I like that! I made a small change -
Looks great to me.
Small edits on your texts ---

@FreeScholar Could you draft a short page on the meaning of free software? i would rather not link off to GNU nor FSF for this directly; the page linked in David and Clayton's examples above link to a page that doesn't get to the point, is long, and not very approachable.
@mlncn First draft (needs a good ending):
Free Software and Open Source - what is the difference? The code is basically the same. The license may not be the same. The politics are different. There are various versions of licensing that allow computer code to be locked down or compiled with proprietary software and the 'Terms of Use' forbid any modification by you, the user, which is not aligned with the political message behind the term "Free Software" - sharing. An example would be Android, which is a modified version of GNU/Linux that the user cannot modify due to the licensing.
The term "Free" is usually associated with cost. Free software can be sold, for profit, it is not by inception, "Gratis", so the new term of "Libre" has been adopted to give a more accurate message. When we say Free/Libre Software, we are referring to software that respects the users rights by giving them the 4 essential freedoms:
One cannot speak of Free Software without mentioning or quoting Richard Stallman, the founder and President of the Free Software Foundation and founder of the Free Software Movement. RMS (as he is known) has stated "Open source is a development methodology; free software is a social movement. For the free software movement, free software is an ethical imperative, essential respect for the users' freedom. By contrast, the philosophy of open source considers issues in terms of how to make software “better”—in a practical sense only. Most discussion of “open source” pays no attention to right and wrong, only to popularity and success.
For the free software movement, however, nonfree software is a social problem, and the solution is to stop using it and move to free software."
At the hotel room in BADCamp @dinarcon @mlncn and myself felt like the statement needs to be more concise. Here's what I think we came up with (was having connectivity issues at the time so this off of memory),
The open web would change depending on the slogan we settle on. #95
I also think it needs to end with a call to action, such as "Learn more about our services."
